I've read a lot of threads over the years of guys looking for or talking up the old autumn orange XX75s. What makes them so good?  Just nostalgia, they're better than a legacy XX75 or different in some other way?

You know if easton started making them again they wouldn't be cheaper than a GGII 75, so why would you pay more money for an autumn orange over an GGII black shaft?  I used to shoot them a long time ago just never seen what makes them so special, just curious.  dino

I think they are better because they are discontinued and not available.  Plus the fact that they were made with swaged nock ends to use glue on nocks and available in a multitude of sizes.

The Gamegetter Blacks come in four spine sizes (the lightest being 2016) and have bushings installed to use Easton's super nocks. Inexpensive but not a big range of sizes.

Carbon seems to be where the market is today.

I like the autumn orange for their looks, they are not any better then any other XX75 aluminum.I like Legacy's for their looks, but I have a shoot GGII,Camo Hunter,Autumn orange,Legacy but any XX75 is fine with me.

I was wondering about the swaged nock, but legacy's have that too.  The swaged nock is way better than the super nock/unibushing thing in the new gamegetters IMO but the legacy is still available if you want the swaged nock thing.

The aluminum should be the same( I think)  xx75 so its pretty much color and size availability.

easier to find- after a pass-through or a miss.

I was under the impression that the gamegetters were either a lesser grade aluminum; or made to less stringent tolerances..

I really liked the autumn orange xx75 shafts.

Ben Hogan was asked why he preferred one golf ball over another. His reply was simple, "Because its better." So is the Autumn Orange XX75. Don't leave home without 'em.

Why do you need a reason for us to like them?  We don't need no stinking reason!  8^))).  We just like them.

I also like he swaged nock, because you can use a wider variety of nocks, like Bjorn, Bohning Classics or Mercury, etc.  I usually shoot what I can get for the best price, and you can't argue with Easton XX75 no matter what the color.

Since they are been released I always prefered xx78 over the xx75,much thougher Aluminum.Befor them I was attracted more by the JDA supernatural or the unique Serpent.

Because it harkens back to our younger days, when for many of us we were just getting into this game.  You've heard of Throwback Jerseys...well, these are Throwback Arrows.

Maybe your younger days 8^).  My younger days were in the mid to late 50's.

I love them.They're more gooder.

And I lop off the swage as soon as I get them and on goes a unibushing. That was the best thing Easton ever did to aluminums. No more glue drying, cleaning the swage or other annoyances.Pull busted nock, push on new one, done.

Glueing nocks is for wood arrows.

Wish they still made the green gamegetters too.

What he said.

I just think that the AO shafts are "classic" looking. They always seem to shoot nice, too. I like to glue my nocks, too.
I would like to find me some of them old fiberglass shafts.....what are they called again?  :bigsmyl:

I liked the autumn orange because they were easier to find than  camo arrows but yet they didn't stand out excessively while hunting. To accentuate the problem further for me, they have quit making 2419s too!
