I have been reverting to wool for some time now, found some deals in thrift shops and online, dont see a lot of wool this far south KY/Tenn. border. Yesterday wife was dropping some donations off at the local thrift store and did some shopping, came home with me a XXL, dark green/black plaid wool coat, w/ quilted lining, deep hand pockets,80% wool. Thick, fit like it was tailor made for me, a person had just dropped sevral coats off had been dry cleaned. Looks new. They had them on the clearance rack, $1! Made my day. Just thought I would share, know there is a lot of cheapskates like me out there, keep looking, neverknow what you will find.

Those are the best finds! I go through the Salvation Army store looking for deals like that regularly.  So far I've scored a couple really nice wool vests and pants, but no jacket. What I'm really looking for is another pair of wool bibs. Merry Christmas

Awesome! Congratulations!! I try to remember to stop in periodically at local Goodwill and Salvation Army stores. You just never know what wool treasures are waiting to be picked up and given a new charge in life.
Thanks for the reminder and sharing your good fortune.
God bless,Mudd

Sam -

Congratulations on the wool find. I had pullover made from an old wool blanket that had been up in the top of the closet for (decades ?), well a long time anyway.
