This is an awesome gesture. Just for informational purposes. Oregon hunting fees are:

Non-Resident hunting license =  $76.50
Non-Resident elk tag =       $361.50

I have heard the fees are going up so not sure if this is 2010 prices for sure. Plus he is providing food. Please do not put me in. Just wanted to say this is a great thing. Elk hunting is alot of fun and alot of hard work.

tags and license went up a lot.not supposed to be out yet until the new book of rules and fees for 2010 but out of state for elk archery is gonna be over 800.00 this next season.dohhhhhhhh.no biggy though cause i get to see more elk fanatics get created

I found a site that lists the new cost. It looks like $641 for out of state license and tag. Here's the site.

greg...the elk guide tag is that odfw allocates a certain number of tags for guides to purchase without having to draw for them. i.e special hunts,eastern oregon is draw only for rifle...etc..etc..i was under the impression they were goin up to over 800 for non res license/tags....saves me a few hundred eh

ps....i am pretty sure thats what guide tags are but not positive
