I had a few hours to myself the other day with a steady SW wind but very warm for November. So I tried a stand I haven't hunted in a wile.I wasn't there 20 minutes and I looked over my shoulder and saw this.

Sorry Guys I was in a hurry earlier should have given a few more details  :scared:    :banghead:  and he walked out of sight.I gave him an hour before trailing. For the first 60 yds there was not a drop of blood but the heavy gouges he left in the earth were plainly visible. When I got to where he laid down It looked as though someone had left a hose running in a few more yards this it what I saw, no propping or staging this is how he died.  He dressed 240#s and was aged by a biologist at 9 1/2 yrs old.In my neck of the woods this deer is the exception to the rule. I was shooting a 70# bighorn with easton FMJ's w/315 grains in front w/ a 190gr el Grande doing the cutting. As a side note I wish I had taken a few more reference pics to show how heavy this grand beast truely was, next time I promise
