What do most of you guys use for dip tubes and what type of paint is best to dip into. Just starting to crest some arrows and can use some of your arrow making ideas and practices.  Thanks alot, Hank

Hank, you've posted your question in an area where folks are trying to sell arrows and arrow parts. You may have a better response by re-posting in the Pow-Wow area.

The Pro Dipper tubes are quite nice and worth the money if you are dipping fairly often.  If you are just doing the occasional crown dip, get a golf club tube and a couple of rubber stoppers.  You can cut three crown dip tubes from one tube.  Pour the paint back in the can when done and toss the tube.  It is cheaper than cleaning it.

Paint wise, you can do pretty good with Krylon.  Automotive paints are very nice, but are pricey and smell a bit.  Bohning products are very good, but hook up a vent fan first.

We just use  1 1/2" PVC about 12" long with a cap glued on one end. Buy Krylon Acrylic Enamel in gloss white quart can and thin the crap out of it with water. When finished just pour back in the can and rinse out your pvc dip tube and done !

I made arrows commercially for years and only used PVC pipe for dipping.
