I want to get away from wearing camo because I know it's not all that important.  So for those of you that go without, what is it you wear?

I don't always wear camo. When I don't I just wear darker colors (No blue) But reds, greens, browns and blacks.

Academy has these $20 Brazos work wear hoodies right now. They have OD green, drab brown and black. I wear stuff like that.  In the summertime I wear a lot of green t shirts. In my part of oklahoma, its either cold..or its not. So I don't buy a lot of cold weather gear.

I do like my camo BDU's, though, because they're cheap and rugged.

Darks. Wool in colder weather. Cotton in hot.

I'll share this pic every chance I get.  Teresa Asbell wool shirt and wool dress pants from Goodwill.  On warmer days, I'll usually wear a plaid Pendleton or cotton shirt.

Leo, what size shirt do you wear, I can probably come up with a good wool plaid shirt for you.  We have that stuff up here.

If not in camo I most likely have wool or plaid flannel of some sort!

I'd contend that if you're wearing open pattern plaids......you're a helluva lot more camouflaged than most of the off the shelf camo patterns out there.

I don't use camo.  Well, actually I have a couple pieces that I bought dirt cheap years ago; a pair of pants, and a pair of unlined bibs.
I prefer cotton flannel in the warmer weather  and wool shirts and sweaters in the colder weather.  Usually, old wool suit pants, also bought at Goodwill stores.   I'm on right in this photo with usual hunting garb...checked wool shirt, wool pants.

Dickie work pants in brown or green and a cheap camo shirt in warmer weather, and cold weather my carhart bibs and a old miltary surplus jacket.

I think the texture of the cloth is more important than the color. Fuzzy wool or textured cotton seems to work best. Quiet cloth is always a plus too.

Sometimes, I like to get away from the camo, too. In warmer weather, green or brown cotton/polyester field pants and  plaid shirt. Cotton **** if its really hot or light wool if its cooler. When it gets cold, I wear heavy wool pants and wool plaid shirt over layers of wool long handles. I like fairly broad light to medium color plaid in subdued colors. Sometimes, though I just can't resist the traditionalism of the red/black buffalo plaid

Oops, did I just include an embarrassing typo in my previous post? (I just noticed the **** overstrikes.) If so, apologies to all.

Stuff like this...

or this...

Though I'm also flirting w/ finishing a ghillie suit so what do I know.  :-p

Good stuff guys, thanks for all the replies.  I'm definetely making the permanent switch to plaid or solid darks.  I just can't stand camo anymore, I'll wear it until I have the garments to go without.  Where do you find cotton flannels?  The flannels I've seen at Walmart and stuff are all dress shirts.  I guess I'll hit up the discount stores see what they've got.
....I wear a large by the way...

I've gotten them at Wal Mart for cheap and at the local Goodwill for cheaper.
