Just got back last night from my Wyoming hunt. The deer was tough but the antelope was great.

I took this buck with a new osage bow I built for the hunt, backed with sinew and antelope rawhide and the new abowyer antelope head. Both worked great.

You really haven't hunted the old fashion way until you've done it from one of these Indian houses.(The Tipi) "Glenn ST. Charles"

In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Yep, I'll have to keep an eye out on the P&Y page  again  for that one.  Those Popers are getting too easy for you Mike...you're going to have to hold out for 80 inchers pretty soon   ;)

Steve O, that was my plan for this year. To hunt a week in August for antelope and a week in Sep. for deer and hold out for an 80 incher, but I had to change plans and do both in Sep. I have one antelope that almost made 80'' so now I guess I will have to go back in August next wear and try again before I go to the Yellowstone area for elk next September.

Sounds like an awesome plan...

We are going to put in for points and draw a nice DIY area in a couple years.

Steve, I have 1 point now and will apply in Jan. for the elk tag. The hunt I have booked is with an outfitter in a wilderness area that requires an outfitter. I should have no problem drawing a tag for archery in that area with the point I have and an outfitter.
The antelope I do myself on a great ranch that is one of the neatest places on earth. It is so hard to go from that 75'' to 80'' and tell the difference for me anyway once one above 72 comes in and offers me a shot its hard for me to pass.I guess I am goint to get tough and start passing up the smaller ones, I love it don't you?
