Just curious.  How much do you pay in your state for your license(s) and what are your limits?

I just renewed my NC license and it was $55 for our "Sportsman's" license with coastal fishing.  So that's small game, inland fishing, trout, game lands, coastal fishing and big game (2 bucks, 2 does, 2 hunters choice deer, 2 wild boar, 1 bear, 2 turkey).

Count'em.. 98 BIG ONES in New York for a "Sportman's License". Includes Big Game (Rifle/Shotgun, Bow & Muzzleloader), Small Game, 3 deer tags, plus two antlerless tags (that you apply for but may not get), 4 Turkey tags 2 Gobbler (Spring) / 2 either Sex (Fall), a Bear Tag and Freshwater Fishing License. Saltwater License effective 01/01/2010 is another 10 bucks. It's been 7 to 8 years since the last license increase, so it is desperately needed; in Conservation & Wildlife. Problem is the increases are NOT going into the Conservation and Wildlife programs. The money is going to the State's General Fund - which is just simply wrong.
Someday you and I will take the Great Hart by our own skill alone, and with an arrow. And then the Little Gods of the Woods will chuckle and rub their hands and say, "Look, Brothers. An Archer! The Old Times are not altogether gone!"

I have $62.50 in PA license. 1 buck, 2 does, and small game.

pronghorn23

I just paid $68 for the following:
Sportsman License-Hunting/Fishing
Habitat Stamp
State Waterfowl Stamp
Archery tags-1 antlerless, 1 either sex

I was told by the vendor that next year the price is going to double on all licences. I don't mind paying more but in this state I'm sure it's not going to what it's intended for.

I know that 570 dollar elk license that i ate last year still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Like was said above...New York sportsman 98.00. With the money not being used properly and little or poor game and land management. Its really a shame from what it used to be. But I'll play till I can leave the state, which I hope will be in the next few years.

$76 for 4 does, 2 bucks,4 turkeys, and bear tag plus small game in Va. Well worth it.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

Mississippi limit is 3 bucks with 10" or 12" inside spread or 13" or 15" beam length, depending on which zone you're in, and 5 does. Trying to keep from killing any 1 1/2 year bucks.

Good point, Don. I don't complain- we have it great here, at any cost!

I bought an Indiana "lifetime license" in 1986-7 for 360 bucks that covers all turkey and deer tags and small game licenses till I die.

Even if I move.

That's correct. I haven't had to buy a deer tag for over 20 years.

My 15 minutes of fame for realizing where this all was going and saying heck with it I'm buying one.

Licenses increased by 40 percent 3 months after I bought it and have went up 240 percent since.

Limits for this year is 2 reg archery, one firearm and one muzzleloader plus 8 "bonus county" deer for this county.

Each county has it's own bonus county limit. No limit on the TOTAL of "bonus county anterless tags" per hunter statewide, if you have places to hunt in different counties.

One buck......period. I believe that this is the 7th year of the "one buck per hunter per year, any weapon" and it is starting to pay off in an increase of mature bucks being more commonly seen and taken.

Hope all have a great season! I have hopes of one.

Combination hunting/fishing(One buck tag,one Bear tag, small game and all fishing)-32
Archery tag(One doe and one buck)-17
Muzzleloader tag(One buck)-17
Turkey tag(Two spring gobblers and fall either sex bird)-17

Moose permit lottery-10 to enter, 100 if you get drawn

Antlerless lottery for smokepole season-10 to enter for one doe tag(should count as a fourth deer because it's an extra tag that's not guaranteed to you OTC,but it counts towards your yearly limit of 3 deer even though you have to buy a muzzloader buck tag to be able to use it...but then the state would get less money and we can't have that...

I have a lifetime Georgia license. I THINK it was $500. The only problem with it is you feel like you're getting something for nothing after awhile. I know that's ok with some guys, but it bothers me.
As long as the monies go where they're SUPPOSED to go, I'll pay whatever they ask as I buy several out of state licenses every year. And how can you put a price on what I enjoy every year??

$19.00 Archery 2 deer/2 turkey either sex.
$7.00 (unlimited quantity) archery antlerless deer.
$10.00 small game.
$12.00 fishing permit.

Plus any out of state tags I buy every year. Which on my two trips to Kansas were $630.00 per tag for non resident archery deer...!

Here's a goody, CT has just doubled all fees and licenses. It will now cost a resident of CT just shy of $300.00 to buy hunting fishing combos with all tags. I think It's time to move. That's not counting everything else, drivers, builders, emisions, etc, it's nuts!!

maineac

21 for archery tag, one der, which negates your deer tag on the regular (rifle) tag.  12 for expanded zone area doe tag, 35 for expanded zone buck tag
