Never liked plain black glass and am too cheap for snakeskins, although I think they look fantastic. Started out masking off all parts I didn't want paint on. I highly recommend using electricians tape for the curved areas as it bends and stretches much easier than any masking tape.
I then used textuerd, flat green and brown for the base coats and let dry in the garage. Luckily here in Texas that only took about 2 hours.
Still wasn't satisfied with just the 2 colors so I made a template with a sheet of paper and a hole punch, sorry no pictures but you'll figure it out quickly. I laid the template down and did a row of Green followed by Black, Khaki and finally Brown. One final coat of satin urathane and she's drying in the garage again now. I think it turned out Great, what do you think?
I'll try to post a better picture tomorrow after everything's dry and I can take off the masking tape.

I'm not one to paint a bow,but that looks really cool!

Just proves a bow CAN be painted if nicely done,as is this case.  :clapper:

What bow is that anyways?

I have a Black Widow,a Kemph,a Bob Lee,and two Bear Montanas all got Camo jobs from Krylon. Its just to easy to get good results. Yours came out well!!!

That looks really good! Id try doing a bow like that but I don't think I could get it to look that nice.

Chris O, it just takes patience and a little time. Did the whole thing in a day and half of that was waiting for the paint to dry. If you screw up just take acetone to it and start over.

I love it. Have thought about taking the spray can to a bow more than once.
