Hello Trad Gang,

Trad Ganger fillmorehd (Terry) asked me to post some pics of his new Firefly as he's a little picture challenged.  What an eye popper this one is!

While I've never met a Firefly I didn't like, the tulip wood on this one is something else!

And last but not least, Terry's growing stable.

I imagine Terry will be along in a while to comment.

Thanks, Tim

SWEET!! Is the limb veneer the fiddleback maple or is it birdseye?

Now if Jim would just get my carbon limbs done...to the SHOP Mr. Jones!!   :biglaugh:

Drew, I want to say it's Tamo Ash but the bow didn't come from Braveheart, it's a custom order of Terry's.

First Thanks Tim for not being picture challenged. To many other things to learn.  Drew indeed that is tamo ash. so your the one he talked about wanting carbon limbs. I was afraid of to many color contrasts after I ordered it.  So you guys think it looks good?  I shot a bunch of arrows out of it last night and its a sweet bow! If you havent shot one you should  Tim can hook you up.

First mistake I made was getting a FireFly.

Second mistake I made was trading off another bow to get ANOTHER Fire Fly.

I have a feeling I'll be making even more mistakes in the future - I just love them!

It has been a while since I wrote this about my F/F (http://tradgang.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=31;t=000574), however I am just as wrapped in it as I ever was.  I have just come back from a hunting trip in New Zealand and the bow performed flawlessly so fast and whisper quiet(shame about the bloke hanging onto it - he got buck fever at all the wrong times) - ha ha.

I am the one who has just ordered a set of double carbon from Jim.  He said he has never done them before so they will be somewhat experimental - I guess somebody has to be the Giunea pig.  Not that it really needs them but I would not buy anything else but F/F, so if I can improve slightly on what I already have - why not.

Great bows, great service, great man!

One hour of life, crowded to the full with glorious action .... is worth whole years of those mean observances of paltry decorum, in which men steal through existence, like sluggish waters through a marsh, without either honor or observation

You absolutely cannot go wrong with a Firefly bow.

I'm saving up now for my next one.

Sutto thanks for refreshing my memory.  I remember now I found this out at the Comptons shoot.  Jim is such a gifted bowyer and a great guy. I finally got this bow set up last evening.  Now its shooting laser beams and I even tried a few broadheads.  Its not gonna take much to get in hunting shape with this bow.

What do you guys think about the limbs with this riser?  Jim has offered to trade limbs or make a new riser to make it right.  Thats the kind of guy he is.  I would love to hear your comments.

Like the rest of you I am sure there will be at least one more made.

I like it. Very unique indeed. I shot a Firefly at Tim's and it was a shooter for sure. Congrats on a great bow and Thanks for sharing the pictures. Flint

Do you do Layaway?!   :biglaugh:    :biglaugh:  Just kidding. That is a sweet looking one there. I love the color contrasts and how well they go together.

Aaaah man, tried about a dozen times now to look at this bow but my dial connection is too slow or somethine, pictures dont come up.

Would someone mind posting them up again on Photobucket, I seem to be able to view pics better this way. Id appreciate it, thanks!

Drew

Tim another sweetheart! I should have guessed Tamo ash but the grain pattern threw me for a loop!

Apparently the photo hosting I'm using is not working well with those of you on dial up.  I'll see if I can get some of these on photo bucket later on today.

That's the new stock bow, I'm reminded why I don't use photobucket much the others are fighting me.

Okay, I think I figured out the problem for some of you, the pics were in Bitmap which was too much for dial up.  Here's some jpegs.
