The Compton show and shoot will be open this weekend; the tent is being fixed and reset up now, after the storms Thursday night.

I was watching the radar and saw those storms blow in. More are expected this afternoon. Hopefully everyone is OK.

From Gene Wensel:
I just called several people. The tent went down last night but they are putting it back up, minimal damaged goods and no one is going home. They are afraid rumors will really hurt attendance and might worry relatives of people who are not there. Pass the word. Thanks.

Good to hear, we decided last night while shooting our bows to head over for the day trip on Saturday, I never been to this event before. Then the weather blew in and dumped 4+ inches of rain here in Milwaukee before heading across the lake. The lighting was none like I've ever seen before, WICKED! Glad everyone is OK.
Were still planning on making the drive, I hope it works out!
For those in the know please keep us updated! Thanks!

OK, I just got off the phone with Whip, he said the tent is on its way back up here shortly and everything is good to go. They got pretty wet last night and they also got the spectacular lighting show overnight as well! Folks are still rolling in today so I hope to see some tradgangers there on Saturday!

I just got off the phone with 4runer (Kenny) and they're itching to go do some more shooting. But he said everyone is ok and they spent a couple hours taking everything out from under the vendor's tent and it should be set back up soon.

I was there this morning and it's all good...alitlle wet. Just like you would expect from the trad folks...everyone pitching in and lifting the fallen tent and getting things out. Saw a few sweaty tradgang.com shirts working hard.

Compton's is held in the Western part of Mich.
My daughter and I spent the day shooting and during one of the rain storms I got a brillant (my one and only for the decade) idea and ran out and bought rubber boots for her and I. Anyone going boots are a must the courses are great but pretty soupy. Can't wait to do some shopping tomorrow.

Comptons is being held in Berrien Springs, Michigan. About 2 hours east of Chicago and 2 hours west of Detroit.
