don't need vents????? the vents in a broadhead lets the blood pour out...why would you want to plug the hole yer tryin to make bleed the most it can? for instance fill a sink with water then plug it then pull the plug...vents...m.h.o

Anything without the vents would be my new go to. 160 or so glue on would be good. The vents make them whistle I think.

By the way that is the WENSEL Woodsman.

I wouldn't take them for free. I just don't like them.

i'm dead serious....ever shot a watermellon with vented and not vented? i have.the vented poured out a lot more fluid in the test we tried.i shot a muley buck with non vented and had a hard time finding blood trail after 100 yds...every elk i have shot with snuffers has left me a solid blood trail to follow right up to the animal.the vents are there there for a reason, the companies put them in for bleeding purposes not for looks.just my opinion...prove me wrong and i'll take my hat off to ya........larry

Glue on and some changes in weights like the snuffers please. A fine head the WW... just need 'em now in bigger weights.

Glue-on in 160 grains (like the big Snuffers)...

Screw-in in 200 grains...

I would love to see a heavier glue on, 150-175 grain. After sharpening a 125, I'm left with a 117-118 grain head, then I have to add lead to it. Last season I weighted them up to 150 gr. and liked that.

Maybe a tad wider also. I have found after sharpening a couple times, they get close to being not legal here as far as width.

Great head though. I've taken roughly twenty animals including turkey, mulies, whities, antelope, and elk with them. Good short blood trails.

the vents are to get the weights right at the dimensions needed for the finished product.Has nothing to do with more bleeding.

if thats the case then how do the companies that make ventless get the right weight at the same dimensions?

The design /specs dont need vents to finish at desired weight. They dont just put toether a head and whatever it comes out at they market. I would think with todays engineers and tool and die capabilities it is pretty well pre-designed then fine tuned and tested to arrive at specs from a print.

If the vents remained solid in the new one piece elite they would not finish out at the desired weight in the final dimensions from the machining print.

ok....please explain to me why broadheads have been advertised as vented for bleeding purposes then.and also i am referring to broadheads in general not any one particular head.
