went yard saleing on saterday hoping to find some archery stuff. But didnt think i would get as lucky as i did. very first stop i was looking at a tackle box full of tackle some still in package guy said 5 bucks was looking at a axe 2bucks than i heard him tell somone he had abow in his van asked about it he pulled it out a bear grizzly sweet. my girlfriend was looking at buying some frames he had more frames in his garage out back i went with them out back. he had another bow there too ben pearson javalina. I was so happy i could have gone home right there. but whent to more no luck. on the way home my girl friend saw a sign 1/2 mile from her moms the lady was about to clse the doors as we pulled in and she said we could look around even though she was mostly packed first thing i saw bear alaskan than a bear kodiak hunter and a pearson varsity. what lucky day now im hooked looking for bows but probably wont find a day like that again. oh yea first guy had a stemler also just didnt want to burn my money on the first stop.

You won the lotto essentially.Your lucky day.I have been fortunate to find some really good bows myself over the years.

Congrats

Yep.  You were lucky.  Around here Auction site sellers have "pickers" that go to all the likely garage, yard and estate sales.  Stuff is gone before most folks even know about it.

JP good finds, now save some yard sale bows for me, another good place is antique shops they sometimes get them in and estate auctions my dad went to one last year in Mt. Holly and a guy had 6 old recurves and long bows.

When I do stop at yard sales all I find is worn out kids clothes and stuff I would take to the dump...One mans trash...anothers treasure I guess.

I was no where near as lucky as you but I did find a nice heavy wool shirt for $5.   :)

What Jeeps isnt telling you is that he gave the Ben Pearson Javelina to me for an early birthday present, I guess Ill let him hang around my daughter a little longerLOL. [Thanks Jeepers!].

I have never found anything that good at a yard sale   "[dntthnk]"  ...but I did stay at a Holiday Inn one time.

You have to have people that do something other than chew on granola to find stuff like that at garage sales.

I once found a pair of Zeiss 10x40 Dialytes at a yard sale in Cincinnati. It was mixed in with a bunch of Bushnells and other inexpensive binos. I'll never top that one, I figure that all the yard sale karma in my life was used up in the instant the guy told me 'yep any binocular there on that table is $10'. Never had an Alexander Hamilton leave my wallet faster.....
Hunting with the bow and arrow involves earning your way by making meat, getting your hands messy in the process and then recognizing your own reflection upon them.

I found a truck ramp for my poor old dog.  She's happy with it, so I guess I scored too!

A Grizzly would have been nice though.  Good job!
