My turkey hunting has been put on hold past week or so due to a very bad Urinary Tract infection..After 10 days of meds, figured I was good to go. Well, the other night at work, 1am..it reared its ugly head worse than I ever felt. Back to the ER for another round of tests...internal and external!

They shot me up with some antibiotic, gave me something to drink and put me on 1000 mg of Cipro for the next 14 days. Boredom was really setting in. I'm not one to sit around but I still was in pain...So..after the wife went to work, I dressed up and snuck out back in the rain...    :saywhat:

Opening day pics of my setup with the dreaded hen decoy...

Joe, Way to go! Very cool story! I thought you were just too busy to hunt? This explains a lot! Feel better and let me know if you'd like to get out in the woods... soon?     Jan

Hey Joe! I think with all the meds you are takin' your urine might make a great buck lure. Why not bottle some then try it in NJ this fall? Congrats on the bird buddy.

Nice Bird Joe...Reminds me of the song by Frank Zappa..Why does it hurt when I pee...Peeing on a electric fence helps to ease the pain...Tucker

Good for you Joe!

Hope you're feeling better and that you can kick this thing for good real soon. Oh, did you 'fess up to the wife?... or just sneak the bird into the freezer before she got home?

To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

Joe,

Congrats on the turkey and getting back out to hunt.

You had me squirming in my chair as I read the email you sent yesterday!  I hope that the Doc gets those meds working for you.  Now, get rested and healed up.
