For hunting to have a future, we must invest ourselves in future hunters.

HOLY COW.  I hope the shooter is okay.

I wish I could read Norwegian just to see what the last few posts said.......well, maybe it's better that I can't!   :eek:

I forgot to say that all is well with the shooter,only a small scratch on the arm. Bue--.

Do you know what wood he was using. It looks a lot like out Hop Hornbeam (Ostrya virginiana).
 That looked like a very exciting blow-up! Glad he wasn't hurt.

Odd, I had to laugh out loud as this has happened to me with a yew bow. Mine was in 11 pieces, his only 9 pieces. Very exiting and fast, surprised that the camera caught the action. Nice bow before the indecent.

That ..WAS...a nice looking bow!!!!

at least the arrow survived ! Glad the guy didn't hurt !   :scared:

Awesome picture, but sorry about the bow.  That was a real beauty.  Glad the shooter wasn't hurt.

Thank God he wasn't hurt! I had a bow come apart on me once and it'll surely get your heart going!!!

AARRRGGGGHHHHHhhhhh!
No translation needed. Beautiful bow, wonderful tiller, gnarly wood, love that juniper....
what sudden sorrow and loss!

I have a healthy respect for the nerve of the shooter, rock solid and steady! He's the guy I want to see walking up if I've been run over by a bus. Uh, if he knows how to stop bleeding and stabilize a spinal cord.

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Wow! That shot was taken with a Sony DSC-W70 run of the mill camera you could get at Wal-Mart! I was thinking someone was shooting at five frames per second or something. That shot is one in a million to get.

Shame to see something so pretty gone in an instant. =0(
