I believe they are cut to center, not past. But they will also cut if 1/8" off center to be legal in some competions that require a longbow to be cut 1/8" off center.

On another note, I used the spine calculator and fed it 1/16 out for my strikeplate and it's darn close.

Smallwood

that's why i was asking, so i could put it in the spine calc.

STEVE R.

Excuse me, but whais a spine calculator? I still live in the swamps.

Smallwood

steve, pm me your e-mail address and i'll send it to you.
you might find it on here if you use the search and put in "dynamic spine calculator"

it calculates your bow specs, and gives you the appropriate arrow combination.

STEVE R.

I have a plx, and I pull about 43 @30". I shoot a  30.5 tapered cedar that is 64 lbs spine weight. Most of my arrows are between 62 and 64 spine.

Do any of you PL fans have any spine suggestions for a 63lb@28in bow? I have been advised to try 70/75's to start and perhaps maybe even 80/85's. I am in the process of finding an arrow that works for my new PLX and I am debating between footed shafts and grizzlysticks. Any suggestions?

Arrow Dynamics Trad Heavies if you want to shoot carbon.

STEVE R.

T.Downing, I want to ask you what is your draw length, as that makes alot of difference on the spine.
