I just bought a new to me Mikuta longbow.  I couldn't resist buying it after I saw the pics and saw the beautiful woods.  The bow is 60" and 48#@28".  The riser is Ebony and Bocote with Ebony trim on the backside of the riser and an Ebony and Bocote thumbrest.  The limbs are Actionboo cores and Bocote veneers.

Joe,

Did you own this one previously?  If so, I don't think I've bought many used bows lately that either you or vermonster13 haven't owned!        ;)    :biglaugh:

Marco,

I don't know.  I just sent the MO off for it.  These are the pics that were in the ad and I can't see the pics that joe vt added, but I suspect they are pics he added.  I can't wait to get home after church tonight so I can see them.  I should get it sometime next week.

Wow, that thing is just flat out gorgeous!!!
To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

I just love mine!!!!! My son Kevin has my old one,and I had Ed make a custom for my wife.

I've been kicking myself for not jumping on that one.  It was just a hair light for me. It is beautiful.  I will be interested in how you think it shoots.

Wow!!!  I bought the bow based on the natural camo appearance of the bow in the pics in the ad.  Now with the pics Joe added I can see how beautiful the bow is.  His pics blow my eyes out of their sockets!!  Shazzzzaaaaammmmm!!!!!

I have one thats not as pretty, 66" 45@28. Mine's brown action wood and I have modified the grip to suit me. That being said it really shoots well, excellent cast and is silent.I think you will enjoy the Mikuta.

Ron,

I bought a brown actionwood Mikuta off **** several years back and I sold it before I even received it because I saw something else I HAD to have!     :)      :knothead:    That's not the only time I've bought a bow only to sell it before I received it because there was another purty thing calling out to me, BUY ME!!   :)

I picked the Mikuta longbow up at The Archery Shop today. I have three observations, it is definitely the most gorgeous, most accurate and quietest shooting bow I've ever owned or shot. For the life of me I can't figure out why the previous owners sold it!

I'm not a big fan of the thumb rest style of grip, so I changed mine. but the bow shoots great and is silent with just yarn balls on the string. Mine also likes a 8" brace hieght. The bow also is not real fussy on arrows. I shoot XX75,Carbon Express, and wood,it loves them all.

I got my mikuta from someone on this site a couple years ago.
Gray action wood. Love at first site!  :D
Great shooting bow!

I'm shooting GrizzlyStik Sitka arrows out of my Mikuta.  They fly like darts out of the bow.
