Well, I did not get my turkey on this trip. But came very close, Got a few more weeks to try. Had a great time though!! I will not give up. The weather was poor, cold , windy! Had 1 bird come in today but would not come to my decoy? He came in twice but to much cover around to get a clear shot.
There are many good moccasin tracks along the trail of a straight arrow: ( fox )

The first time I hunted turkeys with a bow was in 1967, with a Bear Super Mag. I have hunted them with trad. equipment for over twenty years and still haven't tagged one.  Patience is the key to hunting turkeys. The close calls and close misses are priceless.  :banghead:

The first of May it starts here, hope to have as good an outing as you. Seeing game is half the battle!!
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki
