Last weekend we went to an indoor 3-D shoot in UT, been going to this one for as long as I can remember!

They do a great job setting up indoors and make it as real as can be.

We really honed in on the Pig targets since we are headed to Texas in April!  I think we are ready!!!!  It looks like a robinhood, but it is just the angle.  My Father pulling our arrows.

Jake,

Was that the Vernal shoot? Thanks for sharing.

I thing our club in Rangely is having a shoot the first weekend in April if that is something you might be interested in.

Take care, friend.

You'll love that hog hunting!

Jake,

It will be just outside of Rangely on 139. I'll let you know when it gets closer.

I don't know what town you live in, but I have an extra bed your welcom too.

I was in Texas for the last few weeks. I wanted to make the Vernal shoot but Texas was FUN!!!!

That really looks like fun.  Good luck in Tex and by the way , what part of Tex are you hunting.
Now then, get your weapons ~ your quiver and bow ~ and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.  Gen. 27.3

I saw your thread on Texas, Nice Hog Man!!!!!  Looks like a hoot!

I am in Grand Junction, but used to live in Rangely when I was very young, so young in fact, that I don't remember much of it.

Thanks for the offer, I will probably just drive over the hill though...LOL

Is it Sat and Sun?

Hey Jake,
Don't forget when we get there.....LOW AND WAY FORWARD.  I've got pigs where you did on the 3D range.....fortunately, I broke through the spine.  Pigs need to be shot WAY LOW AND WAY FORWARD.

Looking forward to meeting you in Weatherford.

PS hey todd, would love to come meet you in Rangely one day.

You are correct Sir, our shots were a bit higher than I would like them to be, but we shooting for points and bragging rights at the time...  :bigsmyl:

Look forward to seeing and meetin you as well!

Don't let him kid ya. That was the only target he hit all day. I was there!   :biglaugh:  Not really, Jake shoots quite well for a young pup.
Hey Jake, did you round up those snake boots yet?

Ray Hammond

just so you know, O&U,

those two arrows on the left of the picture are more than likely LIVER hits- which will tend to yield very little in the way of a blood trail- if you hit that hog straight up the center of the leg bone about 4-5 inches from where it hits the line of the belly up to about 9-10 inches above it, you will be golden.

John

I didn't know you lurked around here, although you going on the Wensel Pig Gig should have tipped me off.

I should have known someone would call me on the carpet like that...   :banghead:      :biglaugh:

Thanks for the plug John, hope to see ya at the High Country shoot!  No snake boots yet, but working on it!

Ray -

Thanks for the tip, in my research I have found that out, and have to adjust the way and location that I normally pick a spot!  Thanks again!  How do you know where to shoot pigs anyway????   :biglaugh:
