i've allready got a big setup for sharks and stingrays but i'm thinking of making up a little rig with a closed face reel for smaller fish. show me your setups. by the way is there anyone out there who hunts sharks like a man, without floats?

Shoot and hang on!!That sounds like a hoot to me!
That reminds me of a story NO WAIT! THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT PLACE FOR THAT STORY!!!

I have a Bob Lee TD recurve that I use for bowfishing. I made a bracket that fits under the limb bolt so I could mount my retriever reel. It works real good. I don't have any pics but will try to get one and post it up later.

i haven't done it but i personally know blokes who have shot 8'-9' sharks off the beach. you have to play them for a while apparently! no floats and no boat to chase them with.

this is the buisness end of my rig. garpoon with homemade b/head adapter.

This one is an old Bear wrap on. Killed my very first fish with it around 1960ish and it's still doin it.

Three basic rigs: spincast, Retriever, and wrap-around.

ozy clint

those spincast rigs are what i'm looking at putting together. do you have to make up your own butt or can they be purchased? also what poundage is everyone shooting. with 54# that mega heavy fibreglass arrow comes out real sloooow. i found i have to use my 69# to get that thing going.

You can buy reel seats for spincasts. There's one kind that mounts up high in the sight/quiver bushings, and there's type that uses the stabilizer hole.

ozy clint

next question- who has them?

don't worry, i see kustom king has them for cheap.
thanks
