I just received these photos from Sue at RER. My new LX is on it's way. It's 62" and 42#@28.     :bigsmyl:

Here we go, I received my LX today! Whip was right, pictures just don't do it justice. This thing is beautiful! I put the string on it, went downstairs and shoot a few arrows though it. The bow felt good grouped well with no tuning at all. I had a 6 strand D97 string I purchased from Bobby Graham waiting to be put on. I put on the string and a few strands of wool for silencers. The brace was close so I set the nock point where I thought it should be. The first shot hit very close to the dime size split ring I shoot at. The second shot hit close as you can see in the picture. Kevin makes one of the best and workmanship is outstanding. Oh by the way, did I say I like my new bow.    :goldtooth:

The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Awesome!  What wood combo is that?

I'm guessing curly maple with either rosewood or cocobolo in the riser and quilted maple limbs.

I have an LXR....you will be very happy.
Kevin is a master at his craft, and builds a bow that shoots every bit as good as they look.

The woods are cocobolo and maple but I can't remember what Kevin called it. I'm fairly new to this and don't know about the different wood names. I just know what I think looks good.    I think Whip saw it while it was being finished, he might remember what Kevin called that kind of maple.

You're going to love it!

I have a 43# LX and it's so smooth and easy to shoot, I feel like I'm cheating!

Hartlines

I 2nd Billy and Boom's comments!! I have a Vortec and recently received my LXR with both the longbow and recurve limbs. It shoots like a dream !! I'm also ordering the new CX 13" riser, that too is going to be a great bow.
Have fun!!

Whip

The maple in the cresent flare is curly maple, and on the limb laminations it is maple burl.  Beautiful!
