....and life's wonderful distractions......

Saturday morning woke up early and hit the shop to get a deer mounted. Got a good start, but wasn't long before I had company. Of course they asked to shoot.....

Then they decided they wanted to "work" for a while.....

But that didn't last long, and it was back to flingin'....

Life is good!

Curt--
Man, I feel your pain AND pride.  Any time I get down in the trophy room, turn the computer on, and start to write...one or both of my daughters comes down and wants to sit on my lap.  Hard to get much work done that way, but I'm not complaining.

The other night I was putting my 5-year old to bed and she was all cuddly and told me:  "I like to run, and so do you.  I like to shoot a bow, and so do you.  I like animals, I like antlers, I like to walk on the lake" (frozen now, of course), etc.  She ran off about 8-10 things that she likes to do that I do as well.  You think I didn't have a smile on my face!

Awesome pics, thanks for sharing.

To cool! Can I come over and play where it's warm? I got up to see Ted Fry and son off to the airport. Now I have to get out in the cold wind and clean pigs. Please send Gabe. I need some qualified help.  :readit:    :goldtooth:

Great pics ! Remember to buy You and Cade that George Strait song, " This could be the best Day of my Life". He will never forget it and will play it for you when you are headin out on a trip. That is what Mason does to me when I least expect it. I am busy packing the truck and as we are rollin down the driveway leaving, my mind is going thru the checklist and Mason will sneak and pop it in and crank it up. We look like coyotes howlin at the moon singing it, haha !!!

KVTA, yep, I remember when I was about 17 and had the world by the tail, ( yeah right ! ). It was amazing when I was that age and how smart I got, and how dumb my parents got overnight. Oh, if I would have only shut my mouth and listened more. Sure is tuff bein stupid !

Excellent pics! My son is getting a bit older to quickly. I miss the days when he was 6, 7 and 8, he would say some of the most sincere and honest things while laying in bed right before he would fall asleep that would just blow me away!   :)
