I have a pair of "Mink" bowstring silencers. However I am "in the dark" as to how they should be attached to the string. Would a simple wrap around do the trick or should I weave the silencers through the strands? I am shooting a Turkish horsebow @ 55#. I am not sure as to the number of strands that make up the string but I believe it to be either 12 or 16. Any information would be appreciated.

I separate the string insert 1/4 inch wrap it tight around the string with the twist then separate string again insert last 1/4 inch.
Hope this helps!

The fur may vibrate loose if inserted only near the ends.  Inserting once near the middle as well (i.e., 3 insertion points) helps prevent this.
