Chris Surtees

Where do y'all get your Merino Wool undergarments from?

Thanks

Orion

Filson makes a good set as does King of the Mountain (Ufrotte).

Rooselk

Filson makes them...but they're not cheap by any means. Here's some that are more inexpensive:

Bemidji Woolen Mills also carries the same brand:

Red Boar

I used the Helly Hansen HH Warm stuff this year...I was very impressed.

3Rivers is where I get mine from.  Ulfrotte/Klar/Woolpower....they've got to many names for the stuff but it is awsome. dino

Gray Wolf Wool (Sponsor) has them.  Look at his Northwoods Line of clothing - they are listed there

Dino, been looking at what they have and that is where my question came from. Just did not realize that their line is some really good stuff. I am pretty much sold on the powerwool for heavy undergarments.

Skyler, tell your dad thanks for the pm and other options to look into. I will be in touch with him soon.

Joe, forgot they offered the Merino Wool. Once I am back I am going to be getting some Wolfskin. Just gotta love the Predator camo.

Dave Pagel

I bought my Ulfotte' from Tim Golder and it was one of my best purchases.  I love the stuff and Tim is great to work with.  I just don't know if he is in the wool business anymore.

LJOHNS

I got mine at Gander Mt.  I bought the Scent Blocker brand that has the silver nylon thread in it.  Worth every penny!

I bought the same stuff with the scent suppression in it at Tractor Supply for $15 a pair. It only comes in blue and no fancy camos. The mid weight with a turtle neck and my wool coat kept me toasty at -10 last weekend.

I just bought a pair of "Thermawool" longjohns at Campmor for $29 for tops and $29 for bottoms.100% Merino wool. I did a "smell test" with them last weekend.I wore them three days hunting and the armpits still did not smell.    With Polypro longjohns,I reek a little after 2 hours.I like em.
"Right Wing Extremists"....has a nice ring to it don't it?

Appreciate all the replies with so many options. I have narrowed down my choices so all I need to do is drop the coin now.

Thanks

WOOLPOWER. Expensive but buy once and you are DONE.  BILL

Bernie Parson is a KOM outfitter that advertises in Traditional Bowhunter Magazine. Great guy and he can help you out. The Ulfrotte is suppose to be outstanding though pricey. Like good socks, you get what you pay for.
