Anybody got any pictures of either of these woods in a longbow riser? Thanks for replies. Flint

I don't have any pics, but both look great in a longbow riser.  I think they make for a very "classic" looking bow especially when mated with some aged (mellowed out, honey brown) osage limbs.  I look forward to seeing some pics myself...Mike

Well I don't have pics of those woods in any long bow risers but I do in several recurves if you like ? bd

I've got brazilian rozewood in the riser of my Great Northern Fireball.  I try to post pics this afternoon when I get back from school.

I don't have pics handy but I do have a take down recurve made out of shedua and it seems to be considerably lighter weight than other bows.

Flint, here is one I made with shedua and purpleheart.

Here's the pics.  Sorry about the shine but I can't figure out how to turn it off on the darn camera.  60" 60 @ 28. Great Northern Fireball. Brazilian rosewood and hickory limbs.

Shure does look alot like cocobolo. I have some bolivian rosewood, more of a brown, but it finishes very well.

Keep um coming guys. Those are pretty. Flint

flint, here's a picture of a recurve I built with shedua. The stripes are maple and walnut. For brazilian rosewood you'll probably be looking at older bows. I could be wrong but not much of that around anymore to my knowledge and pretty prized wood if you can find it.

The scent of Autumn is like food to the hunters soul.

Here are some pics of my Black Creek Banshee.

Jim Gainey made it from a piece of Brazilian rosewood that I got from my Dad.

Solid and uninterrupted.

JimB

Not a long bow but a '62 K Mag with Brazilian rosewood.

I have a great riser of Shedua on my Schafer Silvertip but don't know how to show a picture of it! Can anyone walk me thru it? Thanks, Paul

Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils.
