Hey Guys, I have not seen Ryan on here in a little while, but I just got an email from him with a picture of a DANDY he killed in Iowa this year.  I won't post the picture on here without his permission, but maybe if we bug him enough he will give us the story.  Let me just say it's a great buck!

Do not follow where the path may lead.  Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail.

Jon, you pig, you called me out of the groundhog hole I've been living in.  It was getting kind of cozy in there too!  Now you HAVE to draw me a map to your hunting area.  Seriously, we need to talk about next fall..I've spent a little time near the area you mentioned in email.

Ok, here's the guy I caught following a doe around a week ago tuesday morning.  She looked kind of bothered with the whole deal so I figured I'd do her a favor and run a big Snuffer through him.  10-12 yards, through the big plumbing on top of the heart, 60 yards and he tipped over.  Nice mature buck, 4 1/2 or 5 1/2 yrs old, 255 live wt.  Take a look at the residual 3rd antler on top of his head.  Grows out of a separate 1/2 - 3/4 inch pedical between the other two.  Surprised me to see something like this on such a symmetrical deer.
