I have been shooting woodies and decided to try some carbons. What kind of inserts to I need to use for GT 5575. I'm thinking that I want to use 145gr heads and field points. Can I put in a standard insert and go to heavier broadheads if I want? Thanks for the help!

Brass inserts make them tough. And help the weight foward.

So many factors to deal with here Brian: what's your draw length, draw weight, arrow length, is your bow recurve/longbow, is it centershot...even with that 65#'r Drew gave you, you'll most likely need heavier points if you use standard inserts...

Brian with your bow you will want at least 50 grain brass inserts and more like 100 grain ones and with that 145 head will give ya 245 up front and with them being very stiff I would go that route. Shawn
