Don't know how many birds are in the pasture but it sure is a pretty farm............34?

Verm -- them's lovely horseflesh! I see only two (let's save the cows for traditional winter beast-feasts), and that one in front with the whitesox sure would go good in my frying pan, if not much fer horns. You don't see no turkeys on ancient cave-wall paintings, but horseflesh is everywhere! (Yes, it's happy hour after a long gloomy raining post-season day). A lovely scene, filled with enticing calories. d

What you can't see is the flock to the left or the one to the right on the fence line. Also the Posted sign on the fence post in front of me. Them birds can read I think.

I miss trees that turn red and orange!

A local farmer has tons of cranes in his fields every year....I already have his permission to harvest as many birds as I can come next year!

My scenery isn't as nice, but your picture reminds me of this 'herd' that I took a turkey out of yesterday.
