My strings are on the way!  Thanks Bobby Graham.

This is my 1st time setting up a recurve. (or traditional bow period)  My long bow, the prev owner had it set up already.

What string silencers would you recommend and why?
I dont really like cat wiskers. (looks more than anything)

I'm not big on cat wiskers either - although they work great. I just love my beaver fur silencers - quiet and very traditional looking.

Exactly,  I like the more of the traditional look.

Catwhiskers here. . . only because they do not weigh down when wet and they do not catch all the stick-ems.  I love the looks of fur silencers, but. . .sitting on stand picking off burrs is no fun to me! (Besides after so many pics the wool or fur is ruined-ugh!)
If we're not supposed to eat animals ... how come they're made out of meat? ~anon

Bears can attack people- although fewer people have been killed by bears than in all WWI and WWII combined.

Silence over speed.  Heavier arrows never hurt.

I just use raw wool, fresh off the farm, the stuff kinda stinks but it has a lot of oils in it to make it waterproof, it looks cool and that doesn't hurt anything.
