New (to him) bow, and drawing respect from wheelies

Yesterday I took my brother-in-law down to my favorite archery shop in Stockton, Ca.  This is the kind of shop you find in a construction yard, stuffed to the brim with all sorts of gadgets, but also bows of every kind, and a good, solid selection of selfbows, longbows, and recurves, in addition to all the training wheels.  

Anyway, the proprietor had a nice, smooth 55 lb. Bear Tigercat, and my bro wanted to see if he'd like it.  Yep.  Shooting that bow, he was sold.  Also, there were two guys with wheels in the shooting lanes, real nice fellas, and saying things like, "I never seen anybody shoot a recurve", and amazed even more that my (crazy) bro shoots bare-fingered!  I explained that for us, shooting trad made us better hunters.  My brother, on the way home, also noted that it took 'em near on a minute to nock an arrow, find the string and click on the trigger, haul the line back ('drawing'), find the sight through the peep, swing the bow into place, and pull the trigger.  By that time, my brother had loosed three arrows, all of 'em into vitals.
