I've been using Beman MFX or Black max shafts for a number of years....really love them. Last year I bought a dozen of the wood grain "classic" shafts. The only drawback to them is that the finish seems to be less smooth than the other shafts. They make a faint noise on my rest when I draw them back. They sat in my tackle box all of last season and this year I took them out and use them for practice, stumping and small game. The Black Max or the camo shafts are my first choice.
The best things in life....aren't things!

Yep...I shoot them and they are great. I have a 31" draw. I shoot hybrid longbows that are in the low 50#'s range at my draw. I use the Beman MFX Classic 400 shafts and leave them full length. I use a standard HIT insert and a 125 gr. tip and 4-5" parabolic fletch. Total arrow weight is 500 gr. They fly like darts and are tough as nails.

Both the mfx classic and axis are about the same arrow except the mfx is slightly higher in gpi due to the extra outer coating. I need to leave them slightly longer than the axis to tune perfectly. The main + is the narrow diameter, less resistance to wind and penetration, also easy to front load for high foc. Have not found any negatives except the cost. Since Easton has come out with the n-fused carbon Axis shaft several companies (sponsors here) have reduced the price of the older axis to move old stock, just a thought if price is important.
shoot straight shoot often

Great shafts! Ive recently started shooting 500s froma 46# lb and they are incredible. It shoots the 400s pretty good but I get a fishtail sometimes unless I shoot 145s on em.Very tough too.

Lytic

I like mine. I will say that the outer finish tends to peel off after moderate abuse though.

I have been using them for three years and absolutely love them.  They're strong and either completely straight or broken there is no in between.  I started out using them in my compound in 2006 and when I switched to traditional in 2007 they transitioned with me.

I shoot a 50 @ 28" drawn to 29.5" and shoot a 30.5" Beman MFX 500 Classic and they have taken a beating in my traditional experience...couple of garbage cans a paver brick or two and they have all lasted.  I won an E--- auction this spring for 2 dozen Beman 500 Black Max's cheap and just fletched a half dozen, they fly great and hit hard.

I'm able to shoot them with 125 grain tips out of my Savannah and 145 grain tips with my Kota.  I just don't have a traditional kill with them, did kill two deer with my compound and they performed great.

Can't say enough about good things about them...they will be in my quiver for a long time, granted this is because I have three dozen...but I'd shoot them if I only had 6.
