I have a Marriah Thermal, 60" 53#'s at 28" that has become heavier than I like to shoot.  I know this topic has come up before but I need to find someone who can reduce the weight of the limbs by 4-5 #'s.  Any recommendations?   Thanks!

Contact the bowyer that built the bow and see if he will reduce the weight for you.

Best bet is getting the bowyer that built it to do it. But many of them may not keep records of how much glass was sanded when it was built, and take it on.

I've reduced draw weights on bows before, but i wouldn't warranty the job unless i built the bow myself  and recorded the rough draw weight and finished draw weight in my bowyers log.  Sometimes i do, and sometimes not.  if you get that glass too thin, the limbs could fail.

How old is your bow. Those " Marriah Thermal" bows were pretty impressive.

Thanks all for the replies.  Bowyer is no longer making bows so not able to go through him.  I did get a PM from a Trad gang member with information on who to work with.  Going that route.
