Every year about this time I give my bows a heavy coat of Johnson Paste Wax so any hunting rash gets a good wax coat to try and protect any place that might suck a little moisture.Twice a year this happens at my cabin

Practice... Practice... and more Practice!!!!! After sitting last year out, I really need it!! :archer2:
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

My ritual starts about a month before season when I think to myself that I need to get all my stuff ready. Then I forget about it for a month and stay up until 2am trying to get all my stuff ready the night before I leave. Then there is the part where I  drive 30 minutes back home after I leave to get something I forgot. Then after antelope opens, I put everything in a single tote that has everything so I don't go through the same ritual before elk and deer season.
It's gotten to the point where basic common sense, about a lot of things these days, doesn't make a lot of sense to most people.

I wax my bows as well.  Also touch up all my broadheads and make sure I have an extra shot-in bow string for every bow I'm going to hunt with this fall. Also start putting my daypack together.

When I was younger, it was ALWAYS watching Bowhunting October whitetails 1 & 2 and High Noon Bucks for YEARS. Barry and company cracked me up.

Hi Terry, hope all is well.  I just do the normal stuff.  I loaded a tree stand in the truck to put up tomorrow and plan on a lot of scouting.

I was just thinking the same!  I use Johnson's Paste Wax on my power tool platens like the table saw, band saws, exc.  smells pretty rugged.
Anyways,  I shoot every broadhead in the quiver many times,  and then sharpen last minute.

Wash my hunting cloths, sharpen broadheads, pack my Fanny pack and organize my gear.

If they smelled the johnson's wax on your arrows, then they've smelt you.

I shoot almost daily year round, so that pre-season ritual for me is all about equipment prep.  Washing clothes, sharpening Broadheads, building a couple extra arrows, etc..  Gotta love it.
