Wrapped up our week with Ryan's team up in Manitoba at Stickflingers 

Our group of 4 brought home 3 bears and our friend Ryan sadly shot his high and ended his hunt with a wounded bear.

My 2 friends who had never taken a bear with trad equipment both shot great bears on day 2.
My hunting partner Steve took a 7'3" giant and Jesse took a 6'11" tank too.

I spent the week being pretty selective just in case that once in a lifetime bear came in so after 44 hall passes I took a beautiful jet black 6'2" bear at 9 yards on the last day of our trip. In just under 30 seconds I heard death moans coming from just about 35 yards away.
I found my arrow and then my bear that was 43 yards from my tree stand.
I called David and the boys and within an hour we had taken photos and were heading back to camp where the work was quick with so many hands quick to pitch in.

Can't believe I waited 35 years to try my hand at baited spring bear! Won't do that again as we already rebooked

Congratulations! People don't know what they are missing.

I have hunted with Ryan three times.
And enjoyed every one of them. I am two bears for three trips. Should have been 3 for 3. But that is hunting.
