Staining carbon trad arrows

Maybe a ridiculous idea, so tell me to kick rocks if so, but wondering if anyone has tried staining trad carbon arrows. Got a batch of GT blems that I think could be a bit darker for aesthetic purposes. If so, what to use? Sealer? Are wraps or cresting needed to get good adhesion for fletching?  Pictures?

I wonder if the stain would stick? Stain dries by absorbing into the wood. Paint being thicker doesn't absorb into the wood as much. I know paint adherents to carbon because I have sprayed a few dozen over the years. Don't forget carbons are usually coated with a finish that keeps them from sticking into targets like 3D's. If a darker carbon shaft is what you're looking for Big Jim's Dark Timbers are what you want. Otherwise, just buy black carbon shafts from any number of manufacturers.
