Question for the Bear T/D Gurus....??

I have an A handle 2 tone riser with #1 limbs that I bought from Big Jim back in 2015.
I have 3 sets of limbs for this bow and have the same problem with all of them. The upper limb "rattles" a little bit when you shake the unstrung bow, and there is definetly a little movement when you twist the upper limb in the pocket. It was never really a big concern, except that every now and then, I would get a small "tick" when I started to draw the bow? One time in particular, enough to make a doe turn and stuff=leg it back the way she came. I put a little moleskin in the limb pockets and it seemed to solve the problem. However, I'm concerned about it possibly getting wet,and moister getting into the limbs?
Hence my question...?? Would it be possible to back out that alignment screw in the limb pocket, to tighten things up?? Any and all suggestions are appreciated, Thanks in advance!!

I don't think backing out the alignment pin is a good idea.  Just jams things up. Since it's happening only on upper side and on three different sets of limbs, it seems the limb pocket is the culprit rather than the limbs. 

Regardless, I use mole skin on the limb bases or the limb pockets to snug up the fit. Never had to use it in both places simultaneously.  Moisture has never been a problem, and I have gotten the bow wet multiple times. If it gets wet,  I do take the limbs out and dry it out when I gat back to camp, of course.

I know that noise like many Bear TD owners. I use smal strips of thin foam I insert when assembling the bow. I wouldn't loosen those screws/pins. I removed them once. Limb slipped while bow unstrung. Parts went flying when I went to string it up.

I've used moleskin when that clicking happens and never had any problems with moisture. Had several T/D's over last 50 yrs.

Does it work better on the limb bases, or inside the pockets? Right now I have in the pockets of both limbs

I tried the moleskin and the foam but still had issues.  In the end what worked for me was putting a generous coating of string wax on any part of the limb that makes contact with the limb pocket, especially around the alignment hole with the brass insert and sticking the fuzzy side of a velcro strip to the underside of latch, to help snug up the fit when the latch is closed.

I agree with Orion. I was fighting noise in my b mag until I got this same advice from Kompfjager. Also another posted waxing contact points helps.

Hmmmm....?? I've had the bow strung up for a couple weeks now, drawing it every day.

The "tick" seems to be gone...??

I have read that a "ticking" noise can come from the string where it contacts the curve of the limb. Usually the first time the bow is pulled back after the bow has been strung for a while. It seems to happen when that Deer is right below your stand and you want to shoot. Least that's what they said.

Now that you mention it Tom, That seems to be it in a nutshell? 

Come to think of it, it ain't really broke, so why fix it?
