If so where should they be put and do they work?
I know the right brace height and a heavy arrow is the best way to quite a bow but just wondering if Limbsavers work on longbows and recurves.

I used them on my DHH and put them at the end of the fades.  That was before I discovered the proper location of string silencers.  Combination was very quiet with heavy hunting arrows.  Now I just use string silencers, and all is good.

Yes.  On all many of my hunting bows.  End of the fades.  They make a difference.  If use a bow mounted quiver then it's strapped to the bow at the same spot and has the same effect so on those bows I don't use them.
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

I use them on my Hoyt Satori but not my BW recurves. They really help on the metal riser ILF.

If your not happy with the sound of your bow when you have tried everything to quiet it when shot give them a try.Cant hurt.Easy to remove and can be re-used with 3/M 2 sided tape.Or if you just want the quietest bow possible.

I put them an inch above the fadeouts.I have not used them for awhile.Tried them on a noisy bow and they quieted it down.

Thanks guys. I'm not using a bow quiver on this bow and its sounds a little loud. I'll try them thanks!

I'll use them on any bow that is noisier than I would like.  I wouldn't use them on a "classic" traditional bow, because I don't want to ruin the lines, but fortunately classic bows are usually pretty quiet anyway.  I place them such that they are on the non-working side of the fades, because I don't want them where they will reduce the bow's performance.
