We've got some new wool that we're going to be using  on the Longhunter shirts. It's between the light weight and heavy weights that we were using. The colors are brown, gray, and slate. It probably won't be available until early fall but I thought I'd give folks a look see and get some feed back. What do you think?

I want to know where did you hire the model from????

How soon can I place an order?

I think that in this front-view photo, you look like Edward Abbey (and the girls loved ole' Ed). Seriously, it's a lovely shirt, but for hunting I'd much prefer plaid, which I've found, in dark colors, to be as effective as camo. The ideal wool hunting shirt for my needs would be button-front all the way down, have a small hood with drawstring, and dark brown/black plaid with lots of pockets ... but that wouldn't fit the tradition you're replicating here. dave

I've got my own opinion about this pattern but I'll hold my comments until you folks have your say.

I had to model the shirt because I'm the only one it would fit.   :D

Hey, Ron, how about making the stripes vertical....would blend in with vegetation better, plus it would be more "slimming".....

I'd order vertical stripes in a heartbeat....

Good looking shirt, but acording to my wife I need vertical stripes for the "slimming effect".  I'll have to ask her what she meant by that.

Stone Knife

I would like to see a picture of you and the shirt near some trees, I have a hunch that it would blend in pretty good. With the background in the photos you have not much would blend in. An attached hood would be nice

Horizontal lines stand out in nature. I like the loror combo though. I'd wear it for cold weather 3Ds and campouts but I think I'd leave the hunting to the plain greay and the brown.

I agree w/ Stone Knife, an integral hood would be nice, and handwarmer pockets....

Is there any way you could order one with a front pocket similar to a hooded sweatshirt so you could keep the hands warm while on stand??????

Vertical stripes and a hood would be great.

Ron LaClair

I think I'll have them in either vertical or horizontal strips with a separate matching hood/cape available.

Ron, I am a big fan of your original. The new design is awesome! And I like Horizontal also; blends in like fallen logs, flat rocks, backs of animals and other things in nature.         :D   I'd buy one.
Someday you and I will take the Great Hart by our own skill alone, and with an arrow. And then the Little Gods of the Woods will chuckle and rub their hands and say, "Look, Brothers. An Archer! The Old Times are not altogether gone!"

I like the pattern, but a guy my size isn't supposed to wear horizontal stripes.   ;)

I vote for vertical with hand pockets and hood too !

I third or fourth the hood and hand pockets, and unless I lose weight between now and deer season, vertical stripes too  :D
