You mean that someone is making new Bear TD #2 limbs?? That is great news. I am looking forward to hearing all about this. I am a Bear takedown owner -- I have two A-mags and one B-wood, and I think the #2 limbs on the A handle makes a pretty good bow. Another set of #2 limbs might need to be part of my collection if the report on them turns out to be good.
So, tell me more.
Thanks,
Joe

I shot a metal handle Bear with a set of RERs limbs last week. I think they were bacote. The bow flat out smoked an arrow, no vibration, no handshock, nothing. I was extremely impressed. The craftsmanship on the limbs was flawless & they were pretty to boot. Too bad the rest of the bow was so ugly  :bigsmyl:  It would be easy to look past that once you shot it.

I had to work the limb butts down some to get them to fit A riser today. I'll shoot them tomorrow. Mine are black glass with bamboo core.

Dave glad to hear ya got them to work. I was suprised cuz I know kevin takes great pride in his work. If anyone ever has a problem with anything they always do there best to fix it and make it right.<><

I'll talk with Kevin some tomorrow night. He'll make good on it I'm sure. I didn't want to send them back, I want to shoot these puppies! lol

How much do those limbs cost?  How long did it take to get them once you placed your order?
It's not what you kill but how you hunt...

vermonster13

$375 for the basic action-boo core. These he had in stock so I got them in 5 days. The Maple core run $350 and he has 1 set in stock that are 53# (on a B riser)right now. You'll have to ask him how long a special order takes.

Kevin shows them on his website  www.rerbows.com  mounted to a Bear riser under the limb selection tab.  Pricing is at the bottom of his order form.

Not sure how these compare to the new XR recurve, but he said these limbs for the Bear risers were actually faster than his standard takedown!

I have a set mounted on a Bear B riser. Bamboo cores
with Black glass. Smooth, quick and quiet! Kevins workmanship is Super.

I agree that Kevin does awesome work. I have an XR coming but would love to tryy a set of the new limbs on an old Bear! Shawn

I have a friend who just got a set last week and he said they are FAST!! He recomended them and he pretty much just shoots bear td's and knows his stuff!
The man who thinks he can and the man who thinks he can't are both right!!!

Oh yeah, as an extra bonus Kevin included a string for the riser set-up you have and a stringer. I'll go out and shoot mine in a little while and post some pics and impressions after.

I have a 1971 C riser.  Any idea how long Kevin's limbs would make this bow overall?

I really like the thinner tips on these limbs. They are very quiet and fast. This one likes Axis 400s with 305 up front 30".

I wish he'd make a #1 limb.  I like that size better.

Not much difference from a #2 to a #1 or #3.  I could done pretty easily I expect.

Depends on your draw. The 58" length works better for me than the 56".
