well, i have not had nearly as much time this winter to devote to bow building as i normally do. these are the only two i built this year. i have always liked the way bob morrison mounts his limbs on the shawnee riser.... i think it is in my opionion, the cleanest, classiest way anyone does it and so i wanted to build a bow with that system but also recess the limbs into the riser similar to what border does..... i figured it would give the bow somewhat of a one piece look..... it is hard to see in the pics because the lighting was poor but the lams in the limbs also match up and run as accents through the risers.

the zebrawood/macassar bow is mine. the cocobolo/african blackwood is for scott nicholson. you guys may know scott from these sites (he posts as "jumper"). anyway, scott invited me on a moose hunt this past september (i met sackett on that hunt) as well as a caribou hunt in oct/nov. this bow is just a small thankyou for two hunts of a lifetime, time with his family, and his friendship.

the bows are 60"amo. scott's is 55#@28" and mine is 54#@28". scott's riser is cocobolo/african blackwood with hard maple/black glass/hard maple accents and curly waterfall bubinga veneers. mine is zebrawood/macassar with hard maple/black glass/hard maple accents and zebrawood veneers.

hope you enjoy the pics,
gino

BEAutiful bows! I love that zebrawood and ebony.   :clapper:

WidowEater

looks like theyre taking up too much of your space, just send them my way and they will be cared for, oh yeah and if you could make them left hand before you send them
Silence over speed.  Heavier arrows never hurt.

Outstanding! I really like the figure of the woods in both bows. Those zebrawood limbs are pretty wild looking with a natural camo apperance. How do they shoot?

JL
Practice like you are the worst, shoot like you are the best...

Holy Smokes, Gino! I've heard that you are a tremendous bowyer, but I've not been able to see your work. Those are some beautiful bows.
Is it September yet?!

Outwest

Wow
Those are a couple of beauties.
I would like mine to be 55 at 29. Either wood combo will do because I don't think I could choose between two such good looking bows.
Nice job.

Really nice.....Really, Really nice. I too like the way those limbs are mounted so that the contour is smooth and continuos. Great job.

Those are probably some of the best designed and executed bows I've ever seen from an aesthetical point of view.  I've never seen a three piece quite so pleasing to look at.  What else can I say except if you were taking orders I'd want on that list today!
Do or do not ... there is no "try"

I would probably spend more time sitting and looking at works of art like those, than I would shooting them!! lol  Beautiful work!
