This is exciting.  I am looking forward to seeing the new Shrews for sale.

So Ray , it's not real wood ? Or at least a solid piece of wood.

I'd like to confirm this as well?  From the information that I can find so far, there doesn't appear to be a solid wood option at all on the Shrews which is kind of a bummer to me.
Take care,
Jason

More information will be out soon, however some of my favorite risers have been phenolic and Diamondwood which makes for a heavy, stable riser.  As Roger Norris said, the Super Shrew Lil Favorite prototypes Henry brought to camp for Ron's critical review were great shooting bows.  I can't wait to get one in my stable.

Ok thanks Ray, I'll have to check them out at Kzoo. I also like a heavier rizor bow.

Unfortunately, I think this is the future of bow building.  As more and more popular bow woods are added to the CITES list banning international import/export, raw materials for bow building are going to dwindle.

How about this bow that Henry made, White Macassar riser and veneers.

Dang...that white Macassar is pretty awesome. And that's coming from a guy who spray paints everything  :biglaugh:

Roger, I'm thinking of calling it the Siberian Tiger Shrew

Looks good, loving the black and white.  Ron, can you confirm whether this will be a standard and available color option?  The riser options that you posted elsewhere didn't include this one.

Also, can you confirm that all of the Shrew risers will be made using "save the rainforest" wood which I believe is laminated birch?
Take care,
Jason

The risers are Laminated birch, like the old Dymondwood, and birch IS real wood. It is resin impregnated so it is heavier and stronger than all natural wood. Accent stripes add to the strength and eye appeal of the bow.
