Thinking about building a knife. How good are these blades and do they hold an edge like nobody's business. That is the kind of steel I am interested in. All comments welcome. Thanks.

The steel in Helle's blades is first rate. Great edge retention & simple to maintain.

My helle blade is on its fifth deer and still shaving sharp.

I have three of their knives and have determined that for the price, they are hard to beat.

I've got 3 Randles, but the Helle is what I reach for to do the work....and they are easy to sharpen and do hold an edge extremely well.

Thanks for the kind words!!  We are real pleased with the quality of the blades and knives we get from Norway.  Give us a call or order on line if you need anything.

Very hard to beat at any price-got one for my daughter for passing hunter safety-she picked it.

I used my Helle Polar blade to skin not one, but two moose in Ontario. It held its edge exceptionally well.
