Thanks Kenny. Here is what I posted when I killed him back in October.

Well, here's my story. I'm 15 and I took up bowhunting with a compound two years ago, and killed a couple deer with it. But I was soon bored of lining up the sights and pulling a trigger. So for christmas last year I asked for a longbow and I got it, a 50# Martin Savannah. And so I became proficient with it and started hunting this year with it. Opening day I shot right over a small doe, and then I was really determined. Then, last week I shot a 6pt. and hit him a little too high and the arrow only went in about 2" needless to say he wasn't even hurt. So by then I was a little discoraged, but now even more determined.

So, this yesterday I went to our land in Surry county, VA. and went back to where there is some recently thinned timber between a cutover and a pine thicket. And my dad and I selected a tree and I put up my climber, and he went about 150 yds and put his up. This was about 3:00 in the afternoon. It had cleared up beautifully after the rainy morning, and the wind was perfect. Long about 5:30 I hear a stick pop behind me so I slowly turn and I see a nice little 7pt. walking straight to me. he came up on my right side and I got ready. Then he stopped broadside at 13 yards, with his head down. He didn't even flinch as the 2016 classic tipped with a 125gr. 4- blade Magnus Stinger zipped right through both lungs and stuck in the ground. He only ran about 75 yards and took a tumble. I could see the now red arrow sticking in the ground. I didn't really need to follow the blood trail but I did anyway. I have killed plenty of deer with the shotgun and muzzleloader, and a couple with the compound, and the satisfaction I got from harvesting this little buck was so much greater than my other deer it was unbelievable. And after that long post, here he is....

Good work young brother! Killed my first deer at age 15 and have added a few to the list since then.

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Its not about the weapon used, its about the adventure involved.

Y know what I was looking at this young mans deer again admireing the awsome pic and I noticed this deer is a odidity deer,, infact it has one thing that most taxidermist want and have a hard time finding for a resonable price for their shop, This deer has a double white patch on its throat and is just still a wonderful Buck,, hope ya mounted that one bud,God bless

Jason, that was a decent buck but certainly not big enough for me to justify the $475 mount. Maybe this year I'll get a big 'un

Chortdraw

Congrats. Sounds like you have had quite a good hunting life already at your age. We will look forward to some more of your adventures. Good luck on your hunts to come  :thumbsup:
