I have an old Bear 48 inch super mag.   I am planning on using it this year for turkey hunting.

I want to use POC shafts.  with a 125grain head.

The bow is 45lb at 28 inch.  I pull around 27 inch.
I will bare shaft tune it to get the proper length.

What spine of wood shaft should I use?

Jim,

With that bow, using an arrow cut to 28" BOP and 125gr point I would bet that 55# spine would work great. If you use a longer arrow you would need 60#. I am assuming the bow is center shot since it is a recurve.
