My dad came across an old Pearson colt in a friends barn, got it for two bucks.It's a pretty bow.I need to know the string length

Raineman

Post the markings on the bow please.

Well, first, we need to know the bow length, measured along the back from nock to nock. I kilt my first deer with a Pearson, back when they were what you bought when you couldn't afford a Bear. Wish I still had it.

Hot Hap

I think the Colts were AMO 62". Hap

Killdeer

Is it shaped like the one at the bottom here?

If it is, you need a 58" string. I have a soft spot for those bows. I got one 36 years ago. What is the poundage of yours?

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.
