Hello...I was lucky enough to tag a Bear this past fall and have the Hind feet still entact..front half is turning into a mount.  Anyway does anyone have a link or directions on making a Bear Claw necklace out of the claws..or any ideas...Thanks in advance.

Just cut the claws free from the toe. The portion that is inside the toe is light in color. Drill a hole in the light part and pass a string through the hole. You will want some appropriate beads as spacers between claws. Beads can be had at Crazy Crow Trading Post (online) or several other vendors.

Remember that bear parts cannot be sold - so if you wear the neclace in public- you may want to have some proof that you harvested and tagged the bear legally.

Congrats on the bear and good luck.

I bought a bear claw necklace in New Mexico a few years ago and have it on now.  Has the law changed in the past 5-6 years?

Thanks.
