Dang, that's tough luck. Maybe someone honest will find it and try to locate Mark. I'll keep my fingers crossed for him.

Sweptwing is back at home. After calling the Game and Fish Office that covers that area of the state, I was given a name and cell phone number of the guy that runs the area. I called him and asked him to keep and eye out. He told me that he had it in his truck. He was driving out that night and it was in the road. He picked it up knowing that someone would be in hot pursuit.This gets better... I told him I would drive down today {2 1/2 hours) to meet up with him to get it. He asked where I lived and by chance he was going to be in my neighborhood this evening. I picked up the bow and lucky for him refrained from hugging on him. What a nice guy with some great character....lesson learned cheap this time....Mark

(Left one at the dog park parking lot once, didn't realize it 'till I got home. Fastest time I ever made back out to the park, but it felt like  forever !)

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Sounds like you owe a certain gentleman a nice venison dinner from you next buck  :)   Glad you got it back.

I hope you offered him a beverage of his choice.  You must be Irish :]  With my luck he would have picked it up after he ran over it.  I know you are feeling blessed.
