When I get them lovely little buggers I take a knife or something like that and kinda shave them off. Works pretty good for me

I've never tried one but I know someone makes a product for just this purpose, I think it is called a burr stone. I believe it is a small block and when you rub it over the burrs they become lodged in the stone and come out of your clothes. Try looking in one of the sportsmans catalogs that I am sure you get just like the rest of us. Good luck.

I know I just wrote about the burr stone, but I do know of a sure fire way of getting them out and I can guarentee that everyone has done this. When you are sitting in your stand of ground blind, just start picking. It will take awhile, especially if you keep walking through the same stand of burrs, but this method has proven itself over time. So why not use a traditional method? After all, are we not Trad Gangers?

Try duct tape, rub it on and pull them off?

Pam you use for cooking. Works on my dogs and then they like licking the stuff off. You might hack up a hair ball later though.

There was a thread on this someone posted that they used a pet comb, the kind that looks like a "u" shaped hacksaw blade with a handle. Also three Rivers sell this   Burr remover

i wear a leather shooting glove and wool fingerless gloves over it so it is really hard to just pick them out while hunting and hey seem to stick to everything else when i try to throw them.
the burrs are stuck in way to tight to get them with duct tape.

I wore a hole in a cotton shirt using a burr stone. Don't know what it will do to wool. Just pay some kids to sit and pick them out.
If it's in your way, move it.

Sharpster

I have posted this before but, the best way to get those hard little green or brown ones off is with a knife. lay your pants or jacket out on   on a hard surface and you can scrape off hundreds of the little bugers in no time. it doesn't work very well on those big burdocks that have hooks on the end and break apart as soon as you touch them. Best to just steer clear of those!

Wool gloves could be a bit tougher though.

Kenny a man who spends as much time in the woods as you should know by now what a burr plant looks like and avoid them LOL<><

In case anyone is wondering; the 'Burzoff' that they sell in Cabelas for removing burrs is not worth a sore behind!

I posted on this the other day.  We have 3 dogs & 2 cats.  They make those fine wire brushes for brushing a cat.  That's what I use to get burrs out of my Sleeping Indian wool.  It pulls em right out and does not pull up any threads from the wool either.

Ken,
I thought you told me you were going deer hunting today?  You really shouldn't be playing in the bushes if you're out chasing deer.  :biglaugh:    :biglaugh:  .  Anyways, we don't have them old nasty burrs around here so I have no idea how to get rid of them.  Take care brother.
