Well it finally happened: I drew on a buck to count coup and the next thing I knew there was an arrow protruding out the far side of the deer.   :knothead:    :knothead:
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

As far as hiccups go... This seems to be a pretty nice one!

Congratulations!

LOL I ALMOST did that the other night Walt. It was so perfect I had to literally tell myself not to release. He wasn't near as big as that either. I might have let my fingers have their way if he had been that nice.

Congrats anyway      :notworthy:

Chris: The Mountains in the background go a long way towards consoling me.

Terry: Thanks, but I was trying to hold out for one near the size of yours.

Joe: Like you, I think to only way to stop those accidents to take the temptation away.

Aram: Max and I have become "REAL GOOD" buddies this season, though I think he is jealous/pi..ed that I took the Robertson to Illinois and hunted with it the last two weeks.  I thinking this is his way of getting back at me.

Dave: The weather warmed up to much, I think it is the first time I really didn't want to wear my wool clothing while hunting in November.

Mark: Lenny took a doe on Sunday from a stand fifty yards from the one I was in this morning.  He also passed on this buck last weekend.

Charlie: One of these days I will convince you to make me a Sunbear and I am sure that bow and me will have more amicable relationship.

Vance: Can you imagine the attitude adjustment Max would need if he had been subjected to ROSWELL?

I mentioned in a previous thread that the fear of doing that is why I quit doing it.

But that thread did get to me a bit so I did draw down on some bucks last week,  WITHOUT AN ARROW.
