I would love to see photos of your preferred grip shape from the belly side of the riser Terry.
I noticed on your order form grip specs that you prefer low wrist angle, no palm swell, and like a thicker throat circumference of 7 1/8”. Seeing photos will help me get it perfect when the time comes to shape your grip.
There are a lot of archers that love “The flat spot” that your thumb pad settles into nicely. Most of these guys shoot with an open hand and totally relaxed fingers gently placed on the back of the riser.
I can’t remember which famous archer that promotes the Jaguar grip, but I want to say Rod Jenkins …… this particular grip shape not only has a flat spot, but also has a sharper edge where the grip typically transitions into a palm swell. These Jaguar grips are typically seen on ILF risers and have no palm swell at all, and that sharper edge forces you to keep your hand open more and apply the pressure to just the web of your hand and thumb pad. This is a great grip shape that helps develop proper hand placement for beginners, but it’s not for everyone.
I personally love that flat spot that fits the thumb pad nicely, but transitions smoothly into a moderate palm swell….. Kirk
